I Have A Reader!!!! (shout out to Daniel)

So i now know i have for sure one reader! yep, after my last post, i got an email from a kind reader who raised up my spirits. So this post is dedicated to YOU Daniel, Thats right dude! He was kind to make me feel better about my dog and congradulatin on me mission! thanks man, and sorry for the crappy email, words fail me when i need them. Yeah! So i has a happy.
So art stuff. So i did a meme, which i think is like a fill in the blank for artists, and it was an emotions meme. PLEASE NOTE I DIDN'T CREATE THE MEME, JUST THE CHARACTER (JANE) IN THE BOXES. I DON'T OWN THE MEME BUT I DO OWN THE CHARACTER. Yup, just so we're clear. Yeah, this was alot of fun and i'll probably do it for all my characters for my new comic, Bang Juice! Yeah i know what u miht be thinking "Penn, what about Terror Troupe?" well, in a way, bang juice is just an evolution of Terror Troupe. So i am determined to complete this one for sure. PROMISE!

TOday was a big day

Today I got my mission call. For those of you non mormon, a mission call is a letter packet with a letter stating where you will be going and when you will leave for your mission. I have been called to serve the Argentina Bahia Blanca mission for 24 months. I leave for the Provo MTC in November. To be quite honest i'm a little sad. I'm not too familliar with spanish culture, nor very interested in it. Everyone tells me alot of boys in our stake are going to Argentena. . . Which makes me feel like i'm just another fish in the bowl. A boring little goldfish, just like everyone else. I wouldn't have minded an in-state mission, though i would have loved to gone foreign. But i am going foreign, just not to an asian country like my sister. IDK, maybe it's for the best, maybe it'll help me gain a better perspective of my life, be more thankful for what i have. . . Well, the good thing is that i have a head start in the language department, tho not much. Well, what's done is done, like the mormons say, Thy will, not mine, be done.
Oh and also my dog died about a week ago. I'm fine, just another sickening reality i have to deal with. that's why in this blog i don't have pictures of my life, my family, my friends, the events going on, instead i have illustrations of characters in my head. Cus reality is just too disgusting. In my head, no one dies, no one grows up, no one has to say good bye, no one has to worry about their future because i create a future that's bright and lovely. And even though i do put my characters through alot of hells, i still make a happy ending visible at the end of the track. In reality, theres so much uncertainty and hardship. . . in my religion it is thought to make us stronger. . . well is there a straw that breaks the camel's back . . . what straw is going to break my back?

Ok, so a while back, i made a furry pic of my two cats izzi and calli, calli is a prissy little turd, so i matched her clothes to her personality. Izzi is fun spunky, and a cuddle bug. yeah, izzi's technically my cat and calli's my dad's. yep

Sketch dump

so here's a sketch dump i did oon the back of a program during sunday school. . . i was really bored. So i went to the mall with my friends yesterday, i didn't buy anything, but we had a good time. tried on a muscle shirt at pac sun, it was cut really low so i fellt really exposed. i tried on some shorts cuz my old ones have a hole in the butt, but alas, they were uncomfortable. i kinda wanted to find some jeans that made my butt look good, but my friends had to leave early cuz they got their hetalia costumes in. YAY! so yep, the story of my life, suck don't it? not really, just keep smiling . . . still no comments, or followers, but someday i will, getting close to the 100 pageviews mark! so exciting!

MANic Monday

I haven't done MANic Monday in a while, but it's monday so i did. Below s the sketch, i think this is the first time i drew a man sketch that looked this gooood! lol. So yeah, u can kind of see my work process. THis is actually an OC for my new comic, His name is Chris, he is best friend to the main girl, Melani. Melani and him go way back, from being pen pals, to roomates. She like to snuggle his big wide chest, and he likes to cuddle her. They look out for each other, like trying to make sure their dates go off without a hitch.
So, i guess i should talk about my life, I graduated! yay! no more high school drama crap! yay!!! welp, i'll be spending my summer trying to prepare for going on a mission. To be honest, i'm not all that excited for it, my dad says it'll be a good cultural experience that will help my art, my mom says its a good way to spread the gospel. I'm going to look at it from my dad's perspective. Well, my blog has a total of 88 page views, getting close to a hundred, if it gets to it, i'll make a special 100 pageviews page with my characters from my recent comics. Welp, i'll see u later peeps. . .

late sunday post

ok ok, i know it's monday, but better late than never right? well, i haven't posted one of these in a while eh? lol. This week's topic at church was seminary (week day sunday school in the morning, usually about 45 minutes long at like 6 am) scripture study. So i drew some high schoolers studying the scriptures, yay! to be quite honest, these people are way to happy to be studying scriptures, maybe they're taking some drugs too? lol just kidding, drugs are BAD!!!. yay

Here is a poster of a comic idea that i hope will come into being someday. . . But i really like it, it was the last printed project i did in my graphic design class. If you don't understand, 006 is licence to severely injure, because it's one level lower than 007 which is licence to kill. get it? =D. . . well, i had fun with it, i hope you like it. . . and someone out there maybe might comment on it lol. . . maybe. . .

So i got a job, well it's less a job and more a favor. This lady (name will be edited) Mrs. Smithe, was doing this thing for our church called "who in the world are you" and its a geneology project for kids two do family work. I got most of my ideas from hetalia, though all characters are origional.

In case you can't figure it out, starting from the top left and going counter clockwise, i have Japan, France, England, America, India, and Australia.
I really like this one cuz it has Africa in it. If you can't tell, she's holding a tribal drum. the far right is Italy with spaghetti.

Female Friday

Here it is, my second female friday. OK so this week's theme is punk rock, yay! I think she kinda looks like avail laving, what do you think? well, she's hot, she's spunky, and i might make her a cameo! lol so today, all my family has come in and we're gonna have my little nieces go egg hunting and it'll be cuter than puppy ears. Yeah, happy early easter yawl.

So today we're makingbook covers, i chose to do The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks. Yeah, i'm not sure how to go about it, but i'm sure next week i'll figure it out. So above is a animation i made a few weeks ago. Its short, but somewhat humorous, its a pic of olivia being possesed and slapping olive. and below is the finished crazy girl, i photoshopped her to look better, yay. what do u think?

Toby Tuesday

Back to school, back to learning, here's toby punching a hole in the sky. yay. As u can see, i used the sketch below. Well, my day went really well. After early morning seminary i was able to take a nap till 9:45, had some breakfast, and went to WT. There i made some real progress on my animation. AND! three of my projects, including the animation are going into an art show! at a museum! this only happened to me once for a self portrait i did that i'm wasn't too proud of. But these pieces (the Thing poster and the Monkey cards) i is proud of yay! who knows i might even get a scholarship! yay. Ok, so i got the story for Terror Troupe in my head, i just gotta get it down on paper. okie dokie. see ya guys later.

MANic Monday

monday! last day of spring break, and i spent it cleaning and getting like a bunch of sunday posts done, so expect those for the next five sundays. Ok so i'm usually going t have a theme with MANic mondays, but today is just a muscle study. I'm trying a j bones style, see if i can out it in the mix. i've also been having this weird craving for retro anime, like lupin III and old classics. Yeap so enjoy the attempted eye candy.

This picture is a sketch for some villains! ooh, the girl on the far right is a long time face of mine i created a while back. SHe's my most badass character. She can whoop any one ANYONE'S trash. She's a mixture of Lust and Envy from FMA, Jinx from Teen Titans, and Medusa from soul eater. I like the other two too, though the one may be the leader, the one on the right has her own agenda.

General Conference part II

Normally today, i would have a sunday post, which is a post of the church lesson my ward would be giving, but today was general conference part II. So i doodled the pic below, and from that i chose one of the doodles to try a new style. I kinda tried to go towards a "Panty and Stocking" kind of style. Panty and Stocking is a newish anime which i have recently discovered, it's very adult, but the animation style is quite remarkable i think. The styles a bit different than the one above, i;ll have to re check it. Well tomorrow is MANic monday, so that should be exciting. yeah . . .

General Conference

So general conferences were today. for you non mormon folks out there, it's where all the mormons of the world watch the prophets give revelation, or rehash some of the things we already knew but need constant reminder of for some reason. AND after that we had to go to a priesthood meeting, my dad and i, which was long, but i got some good sketches in for a new comic. I know the guy looks like darth maul, but i based his design off the creepy demon off of insidious.
the story i'm thinking of was kinda inspired by sucker punch. in my head, i see it like sucker punch's surreal feeling.

Female Friday

So we went to the mall today, i love the mall, i like to people watch, though ya gotta be careful, otherwise people think you're a creeper or gay or a per or whatever and people freak out and you end up in mall jail. Anyways, i bought two shirts from Hollister, a hoodie and a t shirt (they were hang a sale) i wanted a hoodie to sleep in because the hoodies are so soft i have a cuddlegasm. (like an orgasm but you cuddle urself instead of . . . other things. . . ew). And a t shirt cuz it was 10 bucks which never happens at Hollister. I really think the owners of Hollister are very tiny people, cuz i'm a thin guy, sure i've been working out recently but i have minimal muscle mass and i can barely put on an large hoodie. Idk, the pictures have a lot of muscly guys who are more muscly than me, well they're all shirtless, ah i see, if ur a dude, you don't actually wear their shirts, u just buy them to say u bought them and never wear them to expose your perfectly chiseled pectorals. Or they're really small to show off your perfect chiseled pectorals without getting arrested for indecent exposure. Well anyways, the above image is colored Crazy Cute girl for Female Fridays. It's horrible, i might take it to my GD class and photoshop it.

The above image is the final version of the Terror Troupe and i think it turned out well, i might photoshop it to make it look nicer for . . . something. . . Yeah, i like how politically correct i am, adding one black girl. I didn't add her to be politically correct people, she was going to be part of the original cast, just like big boobs chick and the weird guy to the left between the gay hunk couple. Yep, and Brenda is going to be so loved, the loyal confidant and true friend to everyone, plus she can get up in yawls business.

Sucker punch

So i saw sucker punch and Beastly yesterday, Sucker punch was a visual feast of imagination and action. My sister and i were very much scared that it was going to be a Watchmen disaster (sorry for you fans out there, i hated the comic and i hated the movie) but it was fantastic, the one thing i did like about Sucker Punch that it inherited from Watchmen was the heavy make up that gave both movies a really surreal, dreamlike feel. Anyway, i highly recommend it to everyone, but go if u have a good imagination, ur gonna need it to fill the gaps. Beastly was a really cute movie, i recommend it too.

The above image is a sketch of all the main cast of Terror Troupe. Rain and Toby are in the front, i gave them melee weapons to make the a little more badass. Behind them are Kila and Klaus, Twins, Kila is the genius, while Klaus just does his best (and fails) to please her, believing Kila will rule the world. On the right are Brenda, the chick who's wise and has a ferocious attitude, next to her holding the chainsaw with the large bosom is Elsa, despite her Jessica Rabbit-esque appearance, she can handle herself in a zombie horde. The dude to the left with the human face and wolf ears is Chris, his character is kinda based on Batanen from Hyper Police. The dude with the sub machine gun is Rick, he is the love interest of Brenda, he's a nice guy who just has bad luck. . . a lot . . . any who the full blown werewolf in the back is Chris's boyfriend Owen. Yeah, i'll digitize this soon. . . yay, the cast is here, now to develop a plot, yay!

Ok this drawing was something i did about half a year ago, I did it for our adult people on this mormon trek i went on, they wanted me to draw them crossing this freezing river, it was cool. . . i think it turned out pretty ok, granted it was done in the middle of nowhere, dust blowing everywhere, blisters exploding, it was not a nice time XC. . . anywho, yep!

Self portraight

We were told to make a self portrait in a final writing assignment in Graphic Design class. This is very symbolic to my life, how my imagination blends into my reality. this was done on photo shop, and it turned out pretty good i think.

My all time face horror sic fi flick is John Carpenter's the Thing, and since i finished three posters before anyone finished one in the class, i did this, my teacher let me even though it was made in 1981, which was awesome! lol. So yeah, it was a success i think.

So, i finished two posters before anyone else finished one, so i did another one, this time of Bonnie and Clyde. I like the fun of this one, its very fun. Though, i was told it looked too. . toony, or something, which i can see, but it was supposed to make it look more fun and pop culture. . . maybe that shouldn't be. . idk, i like it.

So since i finished before everyone in the class, i was allowed to do another movie poster. So i picked halloween, one of my favorite slasher flicks ever lol. It turned out ok. . . tho i wish i made "the night he came home" a bit bigger. . .
